Fine Art

Following the Leader. Oct. 23, 2009/11:47 a.m. Nature Park. f/5.8. Canon PowerShot A480

Cut Out. Oct. 23, 2009/11:47 a.m. Nature Park. f/5.8. Canon PowerShot A480

I drew black rectangles on the canvas, copied and pasted them and then inserted my image and applied a clipping mask.  I typed the title at the bottom and change the font and type size.  I cropped an image of the ducks, shrunk the image, brought it into my document and then erased parts of it.  For the final touch I used my color palette and applied it to the background of the whole image.  I drew a rectangle inside of that applied a mask to make it lighter and this is what it ended up looking like.

By copying and pasting the liquid in the cup I was able to make it look like the liquid in the cup was different from what was being poured out of the cup.

E.T. 11-9-09/7:21 p.m. My Apartment. f/3.o. Canon PowerShot A480.

Tree. 11-9-09/11:06 a.m. Spori. f/4.0. Canon PowerShot A480.

By arranging the physical subject in the pictures I was able to position the people in such a way so that it looks like something that’s not there.

Panoramic Shots

Untitled_Panorama1

The LiveStock Center – unedited.

I brought the six LiveStock Center images into PhotoShop, used PhotoMerge and then put a different color behind the image – at which point I then used the crop tool to trim away what I didn’t want.

Daily Photo Journal Template and Edit

PhotoADayTemplate2

The pre-made template I used.

PhotoADayTemplate1

I changed the background and used my own picture, changing the hue and saturation levels in the process, tweaked the sizes and layout a little and gave them all names.

Chase. 10-23-09/5:54 p.m. My Apartment. f/3.0. Canon PowerShot A480. Color Matched and Cropped.

Becca. 10-25-09/4:52 p.m. My Apartment. f/4.5. Canon PowerShot A480. Noise Added and Cropped.

I matched the color on the first image by applying the lighting from a similar picture.  On the second image I added some noise to soften the image and then I cropped it a little.

Allie. 10-23-09/6:02 p.m. My Apartment. f/4.5. Canon PowerShot A480.  Cropped.

Brandon. 10-3-09/2:08 p.m. Bountiful, UT. f/3.0. Canon PowerShot A480. Cropped.

Walking with Nieces. 10-3-09/2:30 p.m. Bountiful, UT. f/3.0. Canon PowerShot A480. Cropped.

Jeffrey. 10-24-09/11:44 a.m. Nature Park. f/3.0. Canon PowerShot A480.

On the first three images I cropped them a bit but otherwise left the picture intake as it originally was.  The fourth image I didn’t touch at all.  For my portrait shots I was going more for a natural setting – hence the first and third shots.  The third and fourth shots were posed but I feel that they still reveal a lot of the subject matters personality and character.
